Jacy Wall’s work is rooted in her long established textile practice, whether working in woven tapestry or other media such as printmaking and ceramics.  Themes of impermanence, of breaking, cutting and the strength in re-making run through all her work

My tapestry `Echo` and two little Votive pots in Venice at the #dorsetpavilion . This exceptional show has a brilliantly curated (by @sophiemolinsart )series of artworks that explores the landscapes and narratives of Dorset. This quiet take on the local rather than the national has provoked huge interest alongside the vastness that is the main Venice Biennale. Just a couple of weeks to go for this show, so if in Venice find it, just by the exit bridge of the Arsenale.

A very springy hank of wonderful linen needed to be wound onto something in order to handle it more easily. Without a proper cone winder it wasn`t going to behave except in small amounts and it certainly didn`t like being wound into balls. I ran out of suitable things and then found old wooden spoons are perfect. But now I seem to have an installation in its own right...

Still moving work around making pairings, getting ready for something new, thinking about what will happen with textiles too...
